CV Schettkat

Ronald Schettkat is Professor of Economics at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in January 2001.His areas of research include labor economics, macroeconomics, and economic policy. He was a Fellow of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study, the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin and he was a Guest Professor at several European and American universities. He wrote The Labor Market Dynamics of Economic Restructuring: The United States and Germany in Transition (New York, N.Y. 1992: Praeger Publishers) and edited Flow Analysis of Labor Markets (London/ New York 1996: Routledge), and The Growth of Service Industries (together with Thijs ten Raa, Cheltenham 2001: Edward Elgar). His current research includes: international comparative studies of employment, the integration of product markets and labor markets, evolutionary growth theory.
